The latest release from Apple has everybody talking… literally. The new voice activated assistant, Siri, receives vocal commands and takes action more efficiently than any other voice recognition technology in the mobile phone market. The phone itself has not changed immensely, rather the software has been vastly improved from the iPhone 4. The look and feel of the phone are almost identical to the iPhone 4 except for the microphone button (seen in the image to the left).
The iPhone 4S has the nicest camera in a phone since the Nokia N95 and the iPhone 4S’s 1080p, 30FPS HD video films with incredible clarity. In addition to taking great quality pictures and video the camera is very user friendly and intuitive. One other hardware update to the iPhone 4S is the processor. It now has a dual-core A5 which causes the new iPhone 4S to run considerably faster than the iPhone 4. The phones virtual assistant, Siri, is capable of understanding a vast amount of the English language even when spoken fast, mumbled or mispronounced. This allows iPhone 4S users to text, search, call, set reminders, alarms and a number of other functions simply by telling Siri to do it for them.
iCloud is another feature that many iPhone 4S owners have rejoiced about. Out of the box the iPhone 4S syncs wirelessly to iCloud and your computer or other devices. This means that you wont ever have to plug your phone into your computer to update iTunes. They will automatically sync up whether you download from your computer or your phone.
Once again Apple has raised the bar in just about every way possible. It will be some time before any of the competitors can catch up, and by then, Apple will have probably raised it again.
